S-1 PRO _PREMIUM MANOEUVERABILITY
The S-1 Pro is the highest performance 4-batten wave sail. Next Generation materials raise the performance levels even higher. For 027, SEVERNE pushes forward with three new technologies;
PROJECT85: the introduction of Project85 in the main leech area reduces the physical weight by 25% but makes even more difference to the swing weight.
CLEAR CARBON: A clear version of SEVERNE’s CarbonX-Ply adds extra vision to the sail and increases strength. Used in the clew and foot areas.
TAFFETA X-PLY: Adds a smooth feel and balanced power delivery, whilst still being able to be welded to the body panels.
The S-1 Pro is the pinnacle of SEVERNE’s construction technology: the complete sail including the batten pockets are welded CarbonFusion. This creates a smooth, stitchless sail from the back of the mast sleeve to the leech. Eliminating the thousands of micro-holes created by the stitching has multiple benefits:
