The S-1 is a high performance 4 batten wave sail. Lightweight, flexible, and instantly responsive; a spring loaded and ready to release on demand.
The 027 is a complete redesign across all sizes. DirectConnect now extends to an internal luff panel connecting tack and head: a CarbonFusion strip from the pulley to the top of the sail, carrying the primary loads through the structure. That frees the sail body to inflate faster and react quicker, with stretch under control. It sits more neutral as a result; less locked, more alive in the hands. Swing weight has been reduced further through optimised head and clew construction. Wind range is up across the board. A split sleeve makes mast insertion faster and rigging simpler.
One of the first things riders notice about the S-1 is that it feels light. It is light. But the balance and short boom geometry make it feel lighter still. D6 Dacron adds elasticity to the forward sections; VX2 stabilises the body panels. The result is a consistent power position between the hands; enough back-hand pressure to perform, never enough to fatigue.
